Fuko Ishii er født i Tokyo Inn I en familie bestående av musikere. I 2022 vant hun 1st pris ved den 17. Grieg International Piano Competition, hvor hun under finalen var solist med Griegs a moll med Bergen Filharmoniske Orkester. I 2019 ble hun tildelt 1st pris ved 2. Brahms Competition I Tyskland og 3. Pris ved 26. Internasjonale Brahms Competition I Østerrike. Hun har opptråd som solist med Kristiansand symfoniorkester, Krakow Filharmonien, Brasov Philharmonic, Janacek Philharmonic, Basel Symphony, Detmold Theater Orchestras, og med japanske profesjonelle orchestre som NHK Symphony, Tokyo Metropolitan, Tokyo Symphony, Kyoto Symphony, Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestras. Dessuten deltagelse i mange konkurranser som bl.a 9. Ettlingen International Piano Competition (3. pris), 82. Japan Music Competition (1st pris), Jmanuel und Evamaria Schenk Stiftung Solist Competition 2019 (1.pris).
Fuko ble uteksaminert fra Toho Gakuen School of Music i Tokyo og studerte deretter med Prof. Claudio Martinez-Mehner ved Hochschule für Musik og Tanz Köln, samt ved Basel Musik-Akademie
Med sitt svære repertoar med spennvidde fra Bach til Messiaen turnerer Fuko på eventer som Great Pianists of the 21st Century, Avantgarde Cultural Foundation på Kypros, Festspillene I Bergen, Lofoten Chamber music Festival , Meissen Piano Festival, Blüthner Classics i Germany. Hennes første CD med Brahms piano verker ble utgitt in 2021 av Blüthner og Erich Thienhaus-Institut. Siden 2024 underviser hun ved Toho Gakuen School of Music I Japan.
Fuko Ishii was born in Tokyo into a family of musicians. In 2022 she got the 1st prize at the 17th Grieg International Competition. In the Final, she performed Grieg’s Piano Concerto in a minor Op.16 with Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra with Sir Lawrence Foster. In 2019 she got a first prize at 2nd Brahms Competition in Germany and 3rd prize at the 26th International Brahms competition in Austria. She has appeared as a Soloist with such as Kristiansand Symphony, Krakow Philharmonic, Brasov Philharmonic, Janacek Philharmonic, Basel Symphony, Detmold Theater Orchestras, and with Japanese professional orchestras such as the NHK Symphony, Tokyo Metropolitan, Tokyo Symphony, Kyoto Symphony, Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestras. Laureate of many competitions including the 9th Ettlingen International Piano Competition (3rd prize), the 82th Japan Music Competition (1st prize), Jmanuel und Evamaria Schenk Stiftung Solist Competition 2019 (Prizewinner).
Fuko graduated Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo and after she studied with Prof. Claudio Martinez-Mehner at Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln and Basel Musik-Akademie.
She currently performs concerts with her huge repertoire from Bach to Messiaen such as “Great Pianists of the 21st Century” by Avantgarde Cultural Foundation in Cyprus, “Bergen International Festival”, “Lofoten Chamber music Festival” in Norway, “Meissen Piano Festival”, ”Blüthner Classics” in Germany. Her first CD with Brahms piano pieces was released in 2021 by Blüthner and Erich Thienhaus-Institut. Since 2024 she teaches at Toho Gakuen School of Music in Japan.
